7th Grade Poetry Unit

 

     Sponsa di Libano

 

**We will be starting a poetry unit looking at different types of poetry centering on a similar theme.

**You will be compiling your poetry (both original and published poems) into a Folder with illustrations and photographs. We will be presenting these poetry collections, anthologies, in class as a culminating activity along with a memorized Sonnet with interpertation. We are going to convert the classroom into a coffee house in order tp have an authentic poetry reading setting.

**The following outlines the requirements and due dates for the project.

**Possible poetry themes include: nature, sports, love, maturing, teen problems, family

 

Outline for Project

**Project outline: You will be researching different types of poetry around a specific theme, in both the lab and library. You will be writing poetry in at least 3 different genres (one will be a Sonnet). Also, you will be researching published poems to include in your anthology as well. Your presentation will have each of these poems illustrated.

 

 

 

THE FOLLOWING WILL HELP YOU ORGANIZE YOUR PROJECT:
